The first day of the new school year is Aug. 10 and on that day EVSC will launch a new electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar”. This will allow families a couple of options…to view school-approved eflyers by clicking the Peachjar button on your school’s website homepage; and by receiving an email when a new flyer is added to your child’s school site.
This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers. An added plus, is that you will be able to click on links provided in the flyers, and sign your child up for events, or receive more information.
No action is required on the part of parents. When you receive the welcome email from Peachjar, that means you will begin receiving flyers. In that email will be a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to login to receive or view school eflyers.
To make sure that the flyers get to you without being blocked, we suggest you add “email@example.com” to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”
This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.
