Dear Families and Community Members,
It is my honor to serve as the superintendent of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, a student-focused public school system that serves more than 22,000 students across 40 schools. We take great pride in our exceptional academic and extracurricular programs, and we are fully committed to preparing students for success following graduation.
Raising the academic achievement of every student is at the core of our work. We know that strong foundational skills in literacy and mathematics open doors for our students, enabling them to thrive as learners and problem solvers. We are also focused on maximizing opportunities within Indiana’s new diploma, ensuring all students graduate with the skills and confidence to be successful in college and career.
In the EVSC, students have access to innovative models tailored to their unique interests and goals. Through our robust career and technical education programming and a growing network of collaborative partnerships with local industry, healthcare, and higher education, we are connecting classroom learning to real-world opportunities.
I am so proud to honor the accomplishments of our students as they continue to excel in academics, fine arts and athletics. This past year our graduates were offered more than $40 million in scholarships, a testament to both their hard work and the support they received from our dedicated educators.
As the superintendent, I believe our schools are more than just places of learning. They are the foundation for our community’s future success. We are committed to developing the next generation of leaders and contributors to Evansville, Vanderburgh County, and the world beyond.
For those of you who have students in our schools, thank you for placing your trust in the EVSC.
