Evansville Promise Neighborhood

EPN logoThe EVSC is proud to be a part of the Evansville Promise Neighborhood (EPN) which is a collaborative project that includes 23 community partners. The goal is to bring together families, organizations, and schools to co-design solutions to create success. The EPN is located in an area of Evansville that has the most potential for positive transformation. EPN focuses on building strategic partnerships that allows residents to use resources all while empowering them to lead the change they envision for their community.

There are six EVSC schools that are focused on in the EPN Grant. Those schools are:
  • Bosse High School
  • Delaware Elementary School
  • Evans School
  • Glenwood Leadership Academy
  • Lincoln School
  • Lodge Community School
These schools have Attendance Case Managers as well as Early Ed/Transitional Case Managers that are there to help students and families along the way. The EPN strives to help participants have access to great schools and strong systems of family and community support, while preparing them to attain an excellent education and successfully transition to college and careers.

The work of EPN is divided into 4 groups of focus:
  • Early Health and Kindergarten Readiness
  • Student Achievement and Success
  • Postsecondary Access, Success, and Workforce Readiness,
  • Neighborhood and Community Revitalization
All students enrolled in the 6 identified schools mentioned above are eligible to receive programs/services through the EPN and its partners. This also includes any child not in school that lives in the EPN neighborhoods as well as families and adults living in those neighborhoods.
