Options Fair

Area eighth graders and their families have an opportunity to learn more about the innovative options available to them in high school at the EVSC Options Fair, scheduled for Thursday, October 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center, located at 1901 Lynch Road. COVID mitigation measures will be in effect such as social distancing and masks will be required.

The enrollment process for high school begins in November and the fair will give students and their families a better understanding of the options that are available to them in which they can enroll. The Options Fair will include Informational booths where students will be able to speak with teachers and current students in each of the innovative programs. In addition to informational booths, each program will conduct two, 20 minute presentations.

Presentations will be made at the following times:
  • 5:45 p.m.: Medical Professions Academy and EVSC Virtual Academy
  • 6:05 p.m.: Shepard Leadership & Law Academy and Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center
  • 6:25 p.m.: Early College High School and New Tech Institute High School
  • 6:45 p.m.: EVSC Virtual Academy and Medical Professions Academy
  • 7:05 p.m.: Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center and Shepard Leadership & Law Academy
  • 7:25 p.m.: New Tech Institute High School and Early College High School

Students who participate in one of the half-day innovative programs can still maintain their allegiance to their home high school and participate in athletics and other extra-curricular activities at their home school.
