EVSC is offering weekly meal pick-up for Virtual Academy and Extended Remote students. Meal pick-up will be on Tuesdays, beginning October 6th, at various locations. Students will receive 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. Meals will meet USDA Child Nutrition requirements. All items will be frozen, refrigerated or shelf stable. Heating instructions will be provided.
How do students get meals?

Who is this program available for?
Meals are available for all EVSC students enrolled in the Virtual Academy or EVSC extended remote students. If a student or somebody in the household is in quarantine related to COVID-19, please make arrangements for another individual to pick up your students’ meals.
Is it Free?
With the extension of USDA waivers, meals are free for all enrolled EVSC students through December 31st, 2020 OR until USDA funds run out (whichever comes first). Once this waiver expires or funding runs out, meals will be charged at the paid and reduced rates or will remain free for those that qualify.
Is Feed Evansville still providing pantry boxes every other Sunday for Virtual students?
No. Now that EVSC will be providing grab/go meals for Virtual students, Feed Evansville will discontinue their services for Virtual students effective immediately.
What do the meals consist of?
Each student will receive bags of food (frozen, refrigerated and shelf stable items) that consists of 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches. Breakfast includes a breakfast entrée, fruit serving, and milk. Lunch includes a lunch entrée, one fruit serving, one vegetable serving, and milk. Exact menu will vary based on product availability. Heating instructions will be provided.
Does my student have to be present?
No, students do not have to be present. Families can also make arrangements for someone else to pick up their meals if they choose. The individual picking up the meals will need the student's name, home school (school they would be attending if not virtual), and student ID number.
Signing up for meals:
Each week, students need to be signed up the week prior by Wednesday. Please complete a separate form for each student, each week.
