Next Year Bus Application

NEXT YEAR BUS APPLICATION (2023-2024)

The application to request bussing for the 2023-2024 school year will open Monday, April 3, at 8 a.m. and close Wednesday, May 31. If you would like to apply for bus transportation for next school year (2023-2024) please see the information below. Please note:
  • Transportation is not guaranteed and is for students living within their school district.
  • Transportation will be to and from a student's primary home address that is on file at your school. (Students will be transported to one address only; no multiple addresses.) Please contact your school prior to completing the application if you have an address change.
  • The bus application is only for general education students, not students who receive specialized bussing through an IEP or those enrolled in EVSC PreK programs or those attending AIS or Harwood next school year or out of county students enrolled at SICTC.
  • The application is mobile friendly, so you can complete the application on your phone, tablet or computer.
How to Apply
To apply for bus transportation for the 2023-2024 school year, follow the steps below. This form is open to any student who will be in Kindergarten through grade 12 next year. (PreK students do not need to complete the application.) Please complete the form for each child. If need help with EVSC Parent Access, please contact your child' school. Click here for a video walk through on how to apply.
      1. Go to EVSC Parent Access - evscschools.com/parentaccess on your phone, tablet or computer. If you do not have access to complete the form online, please contact your student's school to set up a time to complete the form at your school.

      2. Sign in (If you have never activated your Parent Access account and require an activation code, please contact your school. If you have forgotten your password or username, please click on the "Forgot password" or "Forgot username" links to reset.

      3. Find the Next Year Bus Application form on your screen and click on Complete Form.

      4. Complete the three questions and click Save and Continue.

Note: If you did not complete annual registration via Parent Access or a paper copy in the fall, you must do so prior to completing the Next Year Bus Application. 

We will communicate with families who apply for bus transportation in mid to late July regarding your student's bus status.

As we did last year, we strongly encourage families who can provide transportation to and form school to consider doing so, as we anticipate capacity to be limited again this year on our school buses.

To check your submission:
To ensure you submitted the Next Year Bus Application follow the steps below:
      1. Go to Parent Access and sign in with your Parent 1 account

      2. Click on your student's name

      3. Click on Registration at the top

      4. Scroll down and look for the Next Year Bus Application under Completed forms. 

Additional Bus Transportation Information:
  • Exceptional learners that have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) that requires special transportation services do not need to complete the bus application. The Office of Special Education handles all IEP bussing. 

  • Parents or guardians with students that are McKinney Vento (homeless/displaced) will need to contact Student Services at 812-435-8866 to request bus transportation.

  • If you are parent or guardian needing Pre-K bussing please contact your student's school to request transportation.

  • At this time, we are not accepting requests for transportation to or from an alternate address other than your home, or from a daycare provider.

  • Transportation requests for RAMP and for students attending AIS or Harwood must be made through the school/program.
