The health of our students is important. Research shows students who
are healthy are better able to do their best in school. The Center for
Family, School, and Community Partnerships provides schools, students
and families with training and tools they can use to set up healthy
school environments. Our students take part in research-based physical
education activities and walking clubs. We partner with community
agencies to host nutrition programs and health fairs. We work with
community partners to operate school-based health clinics (currently at 3
locations) open to students and their families. We all work together to
make sure that our students walk into their classrooms each day
healthy, well-rested, and ready to learn.
