The EVSC utilizes a system of weighted grades to encourage students to enroll in the most rigorous academic courses in order to maximize preparation for their post-secondary education.
- Advanced Placement (AP) courses are on a 5.0 scale.
- Most AP/CC are year-long courses, so students must take the full course to receive weight.
- Students must take corresponding AP exams to receive the weight.
- Concurrent college credit courses with EVSC approved final exams are on a 4.5 scale.
- Students must earn the transcripted college credit to receive the weight.
- Weighted and unweighted GPAs are provided on transcripts.
- Multiple credit courses are given weight for one credit per semester. The weight is given by course, not by credit.
- EVSC no longer uses Class Rank.
