Technology In Our Classrooms
In 2008, the EVSC outlined five core focus areas in its Strategic Plan for the district. One of those five core focus areas was technology. To ensure all students have the same access to technology and the tools they will need for living and working in the 21st century global community, in 2009 the EVSC implemented its one-to-one initiative, providing all high school students their own take-home computer.

As of 2018, 1:1 student devices are now available to all 3rd - 12th grade students, with over 3000 iPads in our K-2 classrooms for a total of over 25,000 desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads available to enhance instruction. In addition to student devices, all EVSC classrooms are equipped with Activeboard and Activesound technology to support teaching and learning!

This environment is made possible by a  strong investment in a network infrastructure of over 2,700 wireless access points.
