This year, Indiana passed a new state law requiring ALL Indiana seniors - no matter if they will attend college or not in the fall - to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by April 15, 2024. The goal is to ensure students understand their funding options for college. Completing the application also gives students access to state-based aid, school scholarships, and work-study opportunities.
While the FAFSA is set to open in December 2023, both students and parents are required to create their own FSA (Federal Student Aid) ID prior to completing the FAFSA.
